Luster Mikromakeri offers residencies on both invitation and Open calls.
Open Call residency
4–17 May 2026
Deadline for application 15 February 2026
Info and application here
At the very end of one of the world’s longest fjords, thinkers, artists and mountaineers have long found space for creativity and reflection. With Luster Mikromakeri, we aim to continue this tradition and serve as a meeting point for arts, crafts and new experiences in Western Norway.
Through the residency program, artists working within various craft disciplines are invited to develop ongoing projects or research at Luster Mikromakeri.
Workspaces are available for woodwork, textiles and ceramics, as well as access to the barn, outdoor areas and a small studio that also functions as accommodation. Each workshop belongs to a local craftsperson who opens their space to artists in residence.
Residencies take place both by invitation and through open calls. The open call is usually announced in January. Solo residencies, duo residencies and group residencies of up to three people are welcome to apply.
